Regarding the plight of motorists plying on sathy Road

I would like to bring to your kind attention the plight of the motorists, especially, Two wheelers and LCV’s plying on Sathy Road. The National Highways Department is constructing a new bridge across the Sanganoor Canal on Highway 209 at Lakshipuram near Ganapathy. The contractors, m/s.Shanthi Constructions, have already built a part of the bridge and have diverted the traffic on across the new bridge. They have now demolished the old bridge and started construction there as well.
But , sir, The approach fore and aft of the new bridge for about 50mts both sides is in such a condition that motorists have to move in snail’s pace. The traffic at this juncture is held up for half a kilometer both sides just because of this one point. Everyone passing this point will sure curse the H/D Department.
Sir, I a sure the H/D department while sanctioning the construction of a new bridge ,would have certainly issued a guideline for making a clear approach lane for free flow of traffic on a busy Highway before demolishing an old existing bridge. Not only the bridge, but the approach leading to the bridge should also have been made proper.
But the contractors have not made any such arrangement and left the approach area leading to the new bridge rubble. The Highways Department has turned a blind eye to this clear violation of contract agreement, I sincerely believe. It will take another 12 months, minimum, to complete this bridge. So until then, people have to suffer this if action is not taken immediately.
Will the Highway Authority look into this matter and act immediately
